The Corn Valley Pad Site (just across the street from Joe Pool Lake Dam) will initially have 3 wells (up to 8). It will be just a little drilling and then some horizontal, hydraulic fracking of shale rock 9,000 feet below the Earth.
Well 1H was approved by Chesapeake, the Texas Railroad Commission, and the Grand Prairie, TX Environmental Services Department (without a Public Hearing).
You may recall Well 1H was drilled on Halloween. This was before it was given an official "stamp of approval" on November 3rd. We're still not sure how that works.
Just re-read this...meant to say there will be "5" wells, initially. That's how many are permitted by the City and the Railroad Commission at this time. That's a lot of fracking and drilling so near the dam. And we've just learned that the Corn Valley Pad Site is only 850 feet from the dam. We've got pictures. Coming soon...
